The Head Start Program
is family centered and is designed to foster the parent's role as the principal influence on the child's development and as the child's primary educator, nurturer and advocate. The Agency engages
in a process of collaborative partnership building with parents to establish mutual trust and to identify family goals, strengths, and the need for necessary services and other supports.

Staff works closely with parents to develop and utilize parent's individual strengths in order to successfully meet personal and family objectives. In addition, parents are encouraged to become involved in all aspects of Head Start, including direct involvement in policy and program decisions that relate to their interest and needs.
